Trip to the Beach and Laughing Video

Luke is laughing up a storm these days! In this video I am scrunching up newspaper and, as you can see, Luke found this to be very funny!




We went to Crystal Beach in Galveston which has since been destroyed by Ike! As you can see from the pictures it was a beautiful beach so it's sad that it no longer exists.

Luke has HATED spending any time on his stomach but i've learned that he loves books with tabs so he now spends about 3-5 minutes on his stomach playing before protesting...here are a few pics

The last couple of weeks with Luke

It's been a few weeks since I've posted any pictures so here are a bunch of them! Enjoy!


Luke really loves to share his thoughts so we spend a lot of time just hanging out talking about things. He is a big fan of the word "agooo" and loves it when I repeat it back to him. I've tried several times to get it on video but he stops talking as soon as he sees the camera.




Luke had just noticed the camera when I took this picture...


I have a feeling Luke made this look after hearing my attempt at baby talk....




Luke still has some growing to do before he can really enjoy his carrier...




I took this picture after two diaper blowouts when we were out and about! I had brought only one extra outfit so Luke had to wear just his diaper after the second blowout! The good news (and bad news if you live here) is that the temperature was around 105 degrees this day so it was probably best to get rid of the clothes anyway!




Luke has learned to reach out and touch his toys so here's a picture of him playing with the spiders...




Luke is really concentrating on those spiders. Oh, Luke's hair is thinning/falling out so it's not sticking up as much these days.

I forgot to bring a blanket to Austin so Luke had to borrow one of Emmalyn's. She only had fluffy pink girly blankets and Luke didn't care for them...!

New Fancy Camera

David gave me a new camera for my birthday and I'm so excited about taking lots of pictures. Here are a few that i've taken already although I need to figure out how to get rid of the red eye and I have a tendency to chop off part of the people's heads when taking the picture, but i'm having fun in spite of these shortcomings.

Here's another picture that was taken 30 seconds later! Luke is crying....things change quickly!


This is a picture of David giving Luke his first bottle and he ate for about 10 minutes before he realized that he was getting milk from Dad instead of Mom and that just didn't seem right. After SCREAMING for awhile, Mom fed him and then Dad finished up with the bottle. He had a second meal from a bottle last night and that went even better even though we had another scream fest.


Luke's baby dedication was on Sunday and this the picture that was displayed on the big screen during the dedication. Isn't this cute??

We had a new roof installed on thursday so Luke and Mom hung out at a friend's house for the day. Ashley, one of Suzanne's old neighbors, came by to visit Luke. She's expecting her first baby in December.

Emmalyn has arrived!!!!!!!!

Luke has a new cousin named Emmalyn! She arrived this morning and weighted 8 pounds 7 ounces! Emmalyn was born exactly one month after Luke - Cool!

The Latest News

I went to my women's group today and Luke found Kristi's shoulder to be very comfortable...


On Friday, Luke and I went to a tea party for all of the babies born in May. As you can see we took a couple of pictures but Luke wasn't very happy until the very end after he had scooted over enough to be touching the baby next to him.

Luke enjoys it when he's diaper free so I let him "air out" for awhile. He went potty 4 times during this time! i'm thankful for puddle pads



On Saturday, Luke and I went to the grocery store for the first time by ourselves. I have to admit that I was a little nervous but he slept the entire time. Shewwww

Hi Everyone,

All is well here at home. After two sleepless nights in a row, I'm working hard at getting Luke on some type of a schedule even though it's an uphill battle! Luke has decided to stay up after he eats so I was spending at least 30 minutes walking around the house trying to get him to go to sleep and he would drift off to sleep, I would celebrate for a second, place him in his crib, and sure enough, he would wake up! ugh. So, David and I decided we would keep Luke up from 9-11 pm so he would hopefully sleep more during the night and it worked! Last night Luke woke up 3 times to eat and we were able to finish up each feeding and get back to bed in about 45 minutes.
